Fall is a great time to plant those hardy herbs that grow well in parts that have mild winters. Try putting a mixture of these cool weather loving herbs in containers or in a large container by the kitchen door, so you can have the herbs you love right at your fingertips. Or plant herbs in your existing flower beds to serve as companions.

There are several cool weather loving herbs which include sage, thyme, chives, parsley, rosemary, mint, lavender, and cilantro. Get these planted so you can be rewarded with fresh flavors for your autumn meals this year.
